If you find yourself in a season of waiting, know that waiting isn’t a punishment from God but a gift in the form of time to prepare.

I’m back with my first blog since Zuri was born! Motherhood has been my toughest challenge yet but by His grace I’m pulling through. Hopefully you’ll find some encouragement in my post.

Even through life’s tests, we can see God’s grace.

Early in the year is usually time we set aside to plan and strategize but I feel a pull toward slowing down and being more present. Hopefully this blog encourages you to reflect and move at whatever pace is appropriate for you in this season.

Relationships–whether romantic or with friends–call for us to forgive often. In “Walking in Forgiveness” I reflect on the joy and blessings on the other side of forgiveness.

When there’s a time I know I should be joyful or at peace and I feel the opposite, I know it’s time to turn inward and speak to the Lord.

If God told me earlier in my life I’d be working in sales in my 30’s, I’d be like “Ugh, no! Did I have a mid-life crisis?!”

There is nothing coming up in the “future” He doesn’t know about. Time is a human construct; God is beyond time.

If you were embarking on a trip and knew you would get to your final destination safely, what difference would it matter how long the trip took or how many detours happened along the way?

Numbers, though arbitrary and impartial, can evoke such feelings of distress, envy, and comparison. I too have gotten caught up in numbers…how many likes? How many books sold? But recently, in the eyes of eternity, I was reminded no work is insignificant when we’re talking about lost souls.

Was my lack of energy connected to my lack of zest in doing what God told me to do?
